Doug was the founder of RCG Management, a contracted management firm serving the emerging and middle-market private company sector in San Diego. He initiated the formation, general partner recruitment and fund raising for Mission Ventures, an early-stage venture capital fund with over $500 million under management. Doug was instrumental in the formation of the San Diego Tech Coast Angels, a group of private investors who to date have led financings of $17 million followed by $230 million in emerging growth technology companies. In 1999, he led the formation of Shepherd Ventures, a San Diego-based venture capital fund with $80 million under management. Doug earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from San Diego State University.
