Energy Management

Genea’s Building Automation team provides a range of energy management solutions for medical facilities, college campuses, multi-tenant industrial complexes, and high-rise office buildings, including:

  • Technical expertise to design, develop, install and integrate electronic controls with various manufacturers’ Energy Management System.
  • Install, configure and maintain low voltage controls and sensors for building automation.
  • Perform energy conservation audits for prospective and existing clients to recommend and deliver solutions for energy consumption optimization. Requires onsite survey of existing HVAC, lighting and automation equipment.
  • Perform detailed surveys to assist clients in determining the appropriate engineering solutions for optimal Energy Management System configuration. Provide corresponding recommendations and detailed benefit analysis for the client, outlining estimated payback or return on investment projections.
  • Install and integrate variable speed frequency drives on AC motors to minimize client demand of electricity consumption. Requires installation of electrical wiring from VFD to attendant motors, as well as technical expertise to program VFD for integration with client’s Energy Management System.
  • Provide installation and programming of automation controls (low voltage) for optimization of thermal storage equipment for large multi-tenant facilities.
  • Provide the necessary technical and mechanical expertise and labor for maintenance of various automation controls and HVAC equipment.
  • Install energy management automation system controls, including related computer hardware and equipment, including the evaluation of circuit boards and programming.
  • Design, configure, install, and integrate interactive dynamic computer graphics for energy management control systems.
